When can I visit the Library?
Your English Language Arts classes are scheduled monthly for check out. If you want a new book before your class visits, talk to Mrs. Sanderson or your classroom teacher for a pass to the library.
If you need new books, consider visiting before school or during lunch recess. If you visit during the day you will need a pass from a teacher.
Guide to Book Care
- Keep your books in a safe place.
- Return your books on time.
- Do not eat or drink while reading library books.
- Keep books away from pets and little ones.
- Use a bookmark.
- If the library book has been damaged, bring it to your librarian. Do not repair the book yourself. Your librarian has the right tools and training to fix books.
- If you lose your book or it is damaged while in your care, you will need to pay to replace it. Talk to your librarian.
Battle of the Books
Do you love to read? Find some friends and team up to read the 24 books on this year's Battle of the Books list. In the spring, teams will compete to see who best knows the books they've read. There are GREAT books on the list - check them out and see the librarian to sign up!
